Mission 2 · Mars · Operation Inferno

Demon Lord

Demons pour out of fire portals: imps, demon hounds, soldiers and fire-breathing dragons. At minute 5, instead of the Queen, the Demon Lord arrives: fans of fire fissures, hellfire rain, a cross of fire and, if you stick close to him, the eruption. Enraged, everything comes double.

Once down, he reveals the fortress: four rune walls hold up the demon crystal's shield. Topple the walls, break the crystal and get out before the explosion.

Mission 4 · Moon · Operation Crater

Supreme Mind

On the Moon, the horde is reptilian: swarming hatchlings, baton soldiers and pouncing raptors. Bighead ETs fire ray guns and flying saucers spit out blasts. At minute 5 the Supreme Mind arrives: rock rain, fans of mind beams, a mind cross and, enraged, a cage of stones.

Once defeated, she reveals the crater: the nest sits at the bottom of the pit. Stop at the rim, aim and throw the grenade in before the brood climbs out.

Mission 5 · Earth · Operation Brood

Xeno Alpha

The invasion has reached a Brazilian city. The brood exists only here: larvae that turn into spiders if no one kills them, alien spiders that pounce and infected with a huge claw. Command tracks them for a minute and marks five nests in the city.

When the last nest falls, the asphalt cracks and the Xeno Alpha bursts out of the ground: it sweeps with its tail, pounces and spits acid that leaves puddles. Defeat the Xeno Alpha and the brood dies with it.

Ship's log

  1. 0.1.90 The landing page in English too, at robotvsaliens.com/en, with the PT/EN switch in the top bar. If your browser is in English you land there already, and the choice also applies to the game.
  2. 0.1.89 The game now speaks two languages: Portuguese and English. Every screen, card, weapon, skill, fusion, mission, story and the page (log in, chat, profile photo) has been translated, about 2,800 phrases. If your browser or phone is set to English, the game already opens in English; to switch, SETTINGS, LANGUAGE. Numbers follow the language (1.500 and 1,8 in Portuguese; 1,500 and 1.8 in English).
  3. 0.1.88 New mode: DEFENSE (tower defense), the fourth card under PLAY. 100 waves in the Dark Planet night, one every 40 seconds, pouring out of up to four portals, with a colossus every 10 (the Night Queen, the Ember Lord, the Abyss Mind, the Brood Alpha and the Nightmare Titan) that smashes the maze in its path. The robot arrives at level 1 with no skills: with the essence the monsters drop and the bonus from each wave you beat, you buy skills, weapons, upgrades and the ultimate, or you build. Walls to shape the maze (the horde takes the shortest path to the core, and no wall can block the path), soldier factories, refineries and 30 towers in six families (machine gun, flamethrower, tesla, mortar, ice and laser), each with 3 levels per tier and two evolutions up to tier 3. Protect the energy core: if it falls, it's over. The game saves at the start of each wave.
  4. 0.1.87 From 2 to 25 challenges, in five groups: CAMPAIGN (each planet, from Mars to Earth, and the second lap), RUN (100,000 points, 50,000 aliens, level 80, 45 minutes alive, all 5 missions in a single life, a mission in 6 minutes and 3 without losing HP), HEROES (one for each new hero and the squad of 4), ARSENAL (fusions, 10 Omega Cores and the complete robot) and DAILY (win the daily challenge and play 7 days). Each one gives an exclusive paint job, not sold in the SHOP, applied to the chosen hero right from the challenge card.
  5. 0.1.86 The new heroes use everyone's weapons: the Star Knight, the Android, the Golden Warrior and the Xeno Kid equip Robot X's arm weapons (the ones from crates, from the SHOP, the fusions, the anime ones and the pilot tree ones) and the helmets, in each hero's own paint. Each hero's own weapon stays in the arsenal, ready to come back whenever you want. TecnoBoy keeps his cannon and his Tri-Prism.
  6. 0.1.85 On the home screen, Robot X and TecnoBoy got joints, like the new heroes: they bend the knee, elbow, wrist and foot, each in his own pose. Robot X takes a tank guard, sweeps the horizon, fires with both arms, stomps the ground and strikes a power pose; TecnoBoy stands on tiptoe, aims the cannon steadying it with his other hand, rests the cannon on his shoulder, gets ready for the Boost and raises the Tri-Prism. And the hero carousel now never ends: after the last one comes the first, and the COMING SOON slots are gone.
  7. 0.1.84 The four new heroes got their own special, on the big button in the corner: the Golden Warrior lights up his hair and is wrapped in an energy aura, much stronger and tougher, unleashing the energy wave and the giant sphere; the Xeno Kid turns into the four-armed Crimson Giant and crushes the horde with punches and ground pounds; the Android reaches her perfect form, with wings and a tail, and finishes with the solar wave; and the Star Knight slices the whole map with his saber beams.
  8. 0.1.83 Four new heroes are here, already unlocked: the Star Knight, with the light saber and telekinesis; the Android, who fires blasts from her palms; the Golden Warrior, with his energy fists; and the Xeno Kid, with the watch that copied the aliens. On the home screen, each one strikes their own poses. And the SHOP now sells every weapon, gear and skill for coins, at a fixed price by rarity; what you buy goes to the INVENTORY and can be equipped on the new robot and on the mission robot.
  9. 0.1.82 Skills got a new look: each one opens a rune circle in the robot's hand, energy orbs now have plasma flowing inside (no more white blur), tornadoes became wind funnels, meteors fall as glowing rock and burst into a fireball, punches open a fan on the ground and the Army of Shadows raises shadow soldiers. The INVENTORY now has three columns, with the item card always in view, and got a TIER LIST tab. The found-weapon screen shows what is on each arm and compares it with the new one. And, on computers, the joystick dot is gone from the screen.
  10. 0.1.81 PLAY now opens the mode choice, with three cards: SURVIVAL (the classic mode, the leaderboard one), JOURNEY and CO-OP. JOURNEY is new: in it, your robot stays saved. Died? You come back on the same mission at the same level, with the same skills and the same weapons, and keep evolving from planet to planet through the endless laps (Dark Planet II, Mars II... each lap harder). One journey per character, saved on your account, and on the home screen each character's hero is the one from their journey, with its level: you can watch it grow.
  11. 0.1.80 The anime drop is here: 20 new weapons (16 arm weapons, like the Demon Boy's Chainsaw, the Straw Hat's Rubber Fists and the Golden Bow of the Sagittarius Knight, and 4 back weapons, which work on TecnoBoy too), 10 fusions of them, 20 new skills (the Orange Ninja's Spiral Orb, the Purple Void, the Tiger Kick, the Crimson Mage's Explosion...) and 10 skill fusions.
  12. 0.1.79 The robots came to life: each skill has a gesture (raising the arms to call down rain from the sky, the ground slam, the throw, the body leaning flat in the dash), each shot kicks the shoulder back and each set of legs moves its own way, from the shaking treads to the thrusters leaning into turns.
  13. 0.1.78 The claws now feel like claws: each strike carves an arc, one to each side, instead of a straight line, and the arm sweeps from side to side as it advances. The strike hits along the curve, on all three claw weapons and the six fusions.
  14. 0.1.77 Claws are here! A new attack style: instead of slashing all around like the sword, they thrust long and straight ahead, piercing the line of aliens, and the robot lunges a little with each strike. Three weapons that evolve up to level 8 (Retractable Claws, Plasma Wrist Blade and Hunter's Claws), with more reach, more lunge and more thrusts per attack, plus six legendary fusions, like the Immortal Mutant's Claws and Creed's Hidden Blade.
  15. 0.1.76 The Spin Attack of the Hero in Green is the real deal now: the robot spins with a huge energy sword that reaches much farther, and the spin lasts more than twice as long. And the Friends' Energy Bomb covers a bigger area at each level and, after it blows, leaves an energy field on the ground that keeps burning the aliens, for longer at high levels.
  16. 0.1.75 New sounds for every skill: fire sounds like fire, explosions like explosions, shock crackles like real electricity, lightning strikes with a boom, ice cracks and the tornado howls. The beeps that sounded like a keyboard are gone. And whoever dies now restarts at mission 1, at level 1, instead of going back at level 1 to a hard mission.
  17. 0.1.74 50 new pieces of gear: helmets, armor, legs, back pieces and generators inspired by sci-fi movies, comic book heroes and anime. Each with its own colors, details and animation: the cape sways, the wings flap, the satellite orbits and the chest reactor spins. They drop from crates by rarity, and the 8 legendary ones only come from fusing two pieces of gear. New HELMET slot, and TecnoBoy wears it all in his own style.
  18. 0.1.73 Multiplayer is here! Tap MULTIPLAYER, create a room and send the 4 digits to a friend: you play the same mission, against the same horde, each with your own robot, level and choices. When one of you opens a choice, the other waits. Went down? In 12 seconds you are back beside your partner. It's for playing together: no save, no leaderboard and nothing to lose. Requires an account.
  19. 0.1.72 Pilot level became a build tree, like in RPGs: each level gives a point to unlock. Choose the root (flamethrower, blade, axe, laser, machine gun, armor or TecnoBoy's prism) and it opens three paths: more area, more damage or a new effect, then an intermediate weapon found only in the tree (Twin Flamethrower, Greatsword, Winter Axe, Fan Laser...), a passive and, at the end, a skill the new robot starts with. You can reset for free and put together another build.
  20. 0.1.71 The daily challenge is here: every day a new planet and modifier, the same for everyone, with the robot starting at level 1 and a leaderboard just for that day. Try as many times as you like: in the challenge, dying doesn't send your robot back to level 1. And now you have a pilot level: every run gives XP, which is never lost, and each level unlocks exclusive paint jobs and new weapons for the robot to start with.
  21. 0.1.70 Standing still no longer beats the horde. Now each monster withstands your fire for as long as it takes to cross to where it attacks from: melee monsters reach you, ranged ones already attack from where they are. It applies from mission 2 on, also in the first lap, and even more on Earth, because the buildings make the path longer. Crystal Glacier II got a bit easier and Moon II a bit harder.
  22. 0.1.69 Alien HP now keeps up with your robot's real damage: the game measures how much damage per second each monster takes when it enters your fire, adding up weapons, auras, skills, fusions and the Mega Robot, and from the second lap on it makes sure a common monster lasts at least 1 second of it (1.5 seconds on the third lap, and more each lap). Big monsters last longer. With a super-strong robot, they no longer die before getting close.
  23. 0.1.68 The campaign keeps getting harder: on the second lap (the planets with II) the aliens have more HP and hit harder, and on the third even more. And the horde now keeps up with your arsenal: every weapon and aura you evolve and every Omega Core makes the aliens tougher, so a strong robot can't win by standing still. Evolving still pays off, but nobody wins with their arms crossed anymore.
  24. 0.1.67 Melee weapons got real strikes: the arm pulls the blade back, raises it and slashes across the front, with the wrist twisting, and the next strike comes back from the other side. The Extra Arms claws rise before coming down, and the flamethrower sweeps the fire from side to side.
  25. 0.1.66 Skills truly evolve: each level changes something besides damage (more reach, more pieces, more time) and the card tells you what. At levels 4 and 8 a new effect arrives: the You Shall Not Pass! wall gets another one behind it and becomes a ring, the Proton Beam becomes three, the Arcane Mandala doubles, the Gobbler calls its friends, the Super Blaster Laser fans out and Boost explodes at the end. New models for the gobbler, the shield, the tornado, the giant fist and the falling blocks. The army and the clones grow up to level 8.
  26. 0.1.65 20 new skills inspired by geek culture: Ancient Force Push, Dark Side Lightning, Vampire's Still World, Star-Spangled Shield Ricochet, Yellow Arcade Gobbler, Russian Puzzle Blocks, You Shall Not Pass!, Bald Hero's Serious Punch, Friends' Energy Bomb and much more. And skill fusion is here: take a skill to max level with the other one from its recipe equipped and it becomes a legendary skill, like Dark Emperor's Storm, Still World Road Roller and Never Cross the Streams. That makes 20 skill fusions.
  27. 0.1.64 On the home screen, the heroes show up with each one's current robot, with its parts and look, and they move: they look around, aim, march and pose. On weapons, "fire rate" became attack speed and DPS was added. And when you find a new part, the card of your current one also shows its rarity.
  28. 0.1.63 The 66 fusions got new names and each one's theme colors, on the model and the shots: Plasma Saber of the Ancient Force in blue, Heaven-Piercing Drill in red and green, Adamantine Claws, Seven-Sphere Dragon in green, Flame Nation Blue Fire and much more. Can you guess the reference behind each one?
  29. 0.1.62 30 new fusions from geek culture. Now there are 66 in the FUSIONS gallery.
  30. 0.1.61 Mega Robot: on top of the base, Robot X stands still and the giant's legs do the walking.
  31. 0.1.60 New sounds for every skill, weapon and aura: the blade cuts the air and rings on impact, fire crackles, the electric aura snaps, and missiles, clones, the army, Boost, Black Hole and TecnoBoy's prisms have their own sound.
  32. 0.1.59 A more detailed Robot X in-game: three-tone shading, metal shine, panel lines drawn on the edges, a bigger and brighter X on the chest, bigger shoulder pads and lights on the knees.
  33. 0.1.58 Home screen in space: the characters on a holographic platform, with the nebula, the stars and the horde on the horizon behind them, the name curved on the base and sparks on PLAY.
  34. 0.1.57 New soundtrack: phonk on the menu, a track for each planet, a boss track, a tense one for the bomb countdown and a victory one when the mission ends.
  35. 0.1.56 New home screen: cards with a futuristic 3D look. On the left, SHOP, INVENTORY and ROBOTS; on the right, the LEADERBOARD with the top 3 and the CHALLENGES. On phones, the MULTIPLAYER button moved lower and the characters sit in the middle of the screen.
  36. 0.1.55 The INVENTORY now equips: in the GEAR tab, pick a weapon or aura from your arsenal and the robot goes into the mission with it. The CUSTOMIZE screen is gone and paint jobs moved to the SHOP, cheaper: 250 coins each (skins are still 1,500). FACTORY PAINT is free and brings back the original colors, and the skin in use comes off with a tap on REMOVE.
  37. 0.1.54 A lighter game on phones, with the same horde: the interface now costs a third of what it used to draw, new effects no longer stutter the first time they appear (the game prepares them all in the menu) and off-screen aliens weigh less, without changing anything you face. The game also started measuring how it runs on each device, so we can find where it is still heavy.
  38. 0.1.53 The SHOP is open: spend the coins from your runs on skins and paint jobs, at a fixed price (no loot boxes). Steel Horns and Centurion Helm for Robot X, Prism Crown for TecnoBoy and five new paint jobs. The PROFILE is here too: tap your name on the menu, or any player on the leaderboard, to see their photo, robots, stats and achievements. There are 52 achievements, from defeating 50 aliens to staying 7 days at #1 on the leaderboard. And your save is safer: the account keeps the best save of each run, and a worse save no longer wipes out the good one.
  39. 0.1.52 Difficulty reworked: each mission is harder than the one before, measured with the robots players actually arrive with. Mission 1 is fairer for beginners (the Queen with less HP and more XP per kill) and the panic wave no longer comes together with the boss. Gems and crates you don't pick up before the mission ends are left behind: no free choices when you reach the next one. And if your run stops being saved to your account (no internet), a warning shows up on screen right away.
  40. 0.1.51 CHALLENGES are here, in the menu: beat the Dark Planet to unlock TecnoBoy and score 1 million points in one run to earn Robot X's X VISOR skin, with an X-shaped visor (pick it in CUSTOMIZE, SKINS tab). And two skills changed: the drone now fires salvos of mini missiles, more at each level, and TecnoBoy's Prism Orbs explode on the ground and leave a field of light that burns the aliens. Also new: the SHARE button at the end of a run, with an image of your robot and your points ready for stories and WhatsApp. And FUSION is here: take a weapon to max level with the right item equipped and it becomes a legendary weapon, like the Cyclone Blade (blade with the Blade Aura) and the Storm Cannon (laser with the Electric Aura). There are 36 fusions, inspired by sci-fi classics: plasma saber, railgun, spiral drill, flamethrower guitar, thunder hammers, rocket fists and much more. See them all in the FUSIONS gallery, in the INVENTORY: each one spins in 3D, with its story, and stays locked until you fuse it.
  41. 0.1.50 Dying is costly now: the robot goes back to level 1 in every mission and the saves are gone. But every weapon or aura you take to max level stays in your collection: in the INVENTORY, choose which ones the new robot starts with (at level 1). And the INVENTORY became an RPG screen: the robot in 3D with the slots around it, and each part with its rarity, attributes and story.
  42. 0.1.49 One save per mission: playing another mission no longer wipes out the previous run, and each one continues where it left off until the robot falls. A new mission starts with your strongest robot. INVENTORY on the home screen, with the weapons, parts, skills and the level of each one. PLAY asks if you want to continue the saved run. Auras and Summon Army weaker at high levels.
  43. 0.1.48 New skill: Black Hole. It crosses the map pulling in the aliens, burns them, drags them all far away and explodes at the end. It starts small and grows with each level.
  44. 0.1.47 Forgot your password? On the login screen, tap "Forgot my password": we send a code to the account's email and you choose a new password.
  45. 0.1.46 Home screen tidied up: on the right, LEADERBOARD, SHOP, INVENTORY and CHALLENGES side by side, and the MULTIPLAYER button (coming soon) above PLAY.
  46. 0.1.45 Coins on the home screen: every leaderboard run adds coins to your account (veteran players got the coins from their earlier runs), to spend in the upcoming shop. And the COMING SOON cards: co-op mode, shop and challenges.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. The whole beta is free and there's nothing for sale right now.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Tap PLAY NOW and the game opens right on the page. The first time, your browser downloads about 23 MB (best on Wi-Fi); after that it opens faster.

Will it run on my phone?

On iPhone and Android with an up-to-date browser, with the phone in landscape. On weaker devices, the game shrinks the horde on its own so it won't lag.

What about PC?

WASD or arrow keys to move, 1 to 4 for skills, 5, Q or U for the special, Esc to pause. You can change the keys, and controllers work too.

Do I need an account?

Not to play. With an account you join the leaderboard, write in the chat, and your saved run, unlocked planets and characters go with you to any device. You create it in the game with nick, email and password; to log in, just nick and password.

Can I play with a friend?

Yes. In the game, tap PLAY, choose CO-OP and tap NEW ROOM: a 4-digit code shows up. Your friend does the same, taps JOIN WITH CODE, types the numbers and you play the same mission together, each with your own robot. You both need an account, and it's best on Wi-Fi.

I unlocked planets on my phone. Do they show up on PC?

With an account, yes: unlocked planets and characters and the robot for each planet stay on the account, on any device and browser. Without an account, they stay only in that browser.

I died. Did I lose everything?

In the regular mode, the leaderboard one, the robot goes back to level 1 and restarts at mission 1, but what you unlocked stays unlocked and weapons that reached max level stay in the collection for the new robot. In JOURNEY, no: you come back on the same mission with the same level, the same skills and the same weapons (it just doesn't count for the leaderboard). To stop midway, use SAVE & QUIT in the pause menu.

I opened it from Instagram and it's not full screen.

Tap the three dots in the corner and choose Open in external browser.

When is it coming to the stores?

No date yet. People in the WhatsApp group hear it first.

I used to play at survival-robot-x-aliens.vercel.app.

That address is still up, with your progress. Here your device starts from scratch: log in to your account to bring your saved run, unlocked planets and characters. If you played there without an account, log in to an account there first (if the game asks, tap ADD TO ACCOUNT).

I found a bug.

Tell us in the group. The game also logs errors on its own so we can fix them.
